Let’s rethink this …

This may be the sort of thing you have heard your entire life – whether it was from a parent, a teacher, a boss – or someone who truly believed they were always the best person for the job.

But here’s what we need to learn - when we try to do everything ourselves, we can become the bottleneck, rather than the person helping everyone move forward. Great leadership isn’t about being the person who can do it all; it’s about building the confidence and competence in others to do it well, too.

I want to ask you to try thinking in a different way.

Allow yourself to create a new mantra – if you want it done right – delegate it effectively!

Because when we trust others to step up, we don’t just free ourselves up – we create opportunities for others to grow, contribute and shine.
