We are one quarter in, and things are changing quickly. This year, we are navigating uncertainty that we didn’t expect, and leaders have a bigger job than ever: knowing how to face this with confidence. As Simon Sinek says, “Human skills are no longer optional.” Think about what this means for you as a leader.
Right now, people don’t just need direction—they need trust. They need leaders who can stay present under pressure, communicate honestly, create a sense of belonging, and bring out the best in others.
People don’t want leaders who have all the answers, who are always loud, performative, or constantly “on.” They want leaders who help them feel seen, safe, and supported - they also need leaders who stretch them to grow, to achieve more than they thought possible, and to help them rise to the challenge.
Consider what you need to adjust in your leadership behaviours to stay relevant and effective in the next quarter of 2026.
