The Power of Collaboration: Elevating the Cellar Door Experience in Marlborough

Last week,  I had the privilege of spending the day with an incredible group of people from eight different wineries across Blenheim. We came together for a full day dedicated to 💫 Elevating the Cellar Door Experience💫 and what unfolded was a reminder of just how powerful collaboration can be when people show up with openness, generosity, and pride in what they do.

In the room were seasoned cellar door professionals sitting alongside team members who are just beginning their journey in the industry. Yet titles, tenure, and backgrounds didn’t matter. What mattered was the willingness to share, to learn, to listen, and to celebrate what makes this region so unique.

And that spirit? It was absolutely heart-warming. 🫶

We were hosted at the outstanding Framingham Wines, a venue that carries its own character and charm. The day ended with a special wine tasting from winemaker Andrew Brown, who generously shared his knowledge, stories, and passion. It was the perfect finishing touch 🎂 the Icing on the cake.

At Icing Training, we never pretend to know more about a product than the people who live and breathe it every day. We don’t assume to be the experts in YOUR  industry — we assume you already have that. That’s the CAKE.

What we bring is the Icing:

✨ Years of experience in sales, communication, leadership

✨ A deep understanding of customer service

✨ Expertise in facilitation

✨ And the ability to connect people — with purpose and with heart

The energy in the room buzzed from start to finish. Ideas were flowing, confidence was building, conversations were rich, and the pride everyone had in Marlborough shone through every discussion.

My hope is that each person walked away with something fresh, practical, and exciting to take back to their own winery — something that keeps the cellar door experience not just consistent, but truly booming.
